This week we talked about sharing our faith.  We learned that we have to earn the right to be heard by walking the walk before we can talk the talk.  Daniel walked the walk by continuing to pray to the One true God in Heaven, despite orders to worship the king of Persia.  This earned him the right to be heard after God was faithful to save him from the lions' den.

Encourage your kids to keep up with the weekly Bible readings.  Try reading them along with them and prompting conversation.

Remind kids not to worry about having to say all the right words when they share their faith. When we step out in faith, the Holy Spirit speaks through us.

"Don't worry in advance about what to say.  Just say what God tells you at that time, for it is not you who will be speaking, but the Holy Spirit."   --Mark 13:11, NLT

Yesterday at Ignite we got to know what real prayer is by looking at how Daniel prayed in a tough time. Prayer is about knowing Someone, not getting something. The kids are encouraged to spend some daily time with God this week by going through the story of Daniel's second major challenge in Babylon.
